Dear Operation 29:11 Family,
I am spending the final day of 2013 attempting to address my paperwork pile, preparing for 2014 and making sure I deliver one last update before the clock strikes midnight. As much as I dislike administrative tasks I am blessed as I look out the picture window in front of my computer… Pam and I are at our house in the Williamson Valley outside Prescott on a beautiful winter day… life is good and God has been very good to us this year.
Yesterday I spent the day in Holbrook delivering additional food and blankets for the January distribution and accomplishing a year-end reorganization of the warehouse. As I drove back to Prescott last night I had a number of hours to dwell on the last twelve months… it is interesting what comes to mind first and foremost… the blessings... our February ice accident outside Gallup which we drove away from without serious consequences… the wind and sand storms we drove through in April to make a deliveries and complete an important meeting at Leupp… the May installation of the first community garden at Pure Heart Bible Church in Kaibeto, the June-July Sun Valley Nazarene Church renovation, reservations distribution and Holbrook community outreach with Pastor Minnick and the First Southern Baptist  Church… the ‘almost did not happen’ Christmas outreach on the Hopi Reservation at Second Mesa with Pastor Seymour… the reception of our new Newborn Ministry by both the ladies supporting the effort and the ladies receiving the boxes… the pastors and members of Calvary Chapel Living Word, Magnolia Baptist Church, Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and Trinity Church who continue to support our effort with encouragement, prayer and treasure… our nonprofit partners Feed The Children, Gleanings for the Hungry, Lotshaw Helping Hands, Serve-One, Stitches From The Heart and Wings of Faith who have shared so generously with us in so many ways… the City of Holbrook AZ who continues to support us with a facility that enhances our distribution capability… the people we have met, maybe but momentarily, who have enriched our lives and hopefully ours, theirs… and most importantly our God who is our source of  so many riches… and who graciously allows us to serve to serve him.
We enjoyed many new family members on the road with us this year… thank you for sharing your time and treasure with us… you made our lives richer and blessed many people along the road with your presence and special gifts.
Sadly we lost many family members this year that will no longer be able to ‘congo line’ supplies with us… thank you for sharing with us your time and treasure… you will be missed tremendously but be assured you will be remembered as we drive down the road sharing stories of previous adventures… I would ask you not to abandon us though… you above all family know how important our prayer warriors at home have been… would you please consider continuing your travels with us a prayer warrior?
As most of you already know we lost Pastor Paul Beasley Sr. this past week… our loss, heaven’s gain. The day I received my calling to the Native American community I met both Pastor Paul and Pastor Jim Bowling and life has not been the same since. Pastor Paul and Pastor Jim were our original ‘hub’ pastors when we started in 2007. Pastor Jim will be the presiding pastor at his best friend’s final service on Thursday… please up life him in prayer.
Today I will not to address what was not accomplished in 2013…I know without a doubt that God’s plan is eternal and will not change… though we attempt to prepare for his plans using our understanding and annual calendar some ‘things’ just do not work out, so goes 2013. I could address the situation I encountered late this summer but I would rather simply thank each and every brother and sister who supported me in prayer and encouragement… thank you. I am excited about 2014 but as I write this update I am totally at His mercy to grasp a defined image of what we are to do… my mental whiteboard is full but it looks more like a brainstorming session than a business plan outline…not exactly what I had in mind October 1st…  please continue to pray for us and God’s plan for Operation 29:11 in 2014. Thank you.
May God bless each of you and your families with a most special 2014.
